The catwalk stunner, nicknamed The Body, will play 1980s supermodel Claudia who owns Focus Models, a top modelling agency.
It's thought the character runs her business with the efficiency and toughness of a dictator.
The drama will revolve around a group of models living together in New York.
Mischa Barton has also been lined up for a part, and is expected to play Sonja, a supermodel and veteran of the high-fashion circuit who is struggling to keep on top.
